What to do with balloons?

I have a question for the females here. My fiance and I are having our 3 year anniversary. I know she likes balloons a lot.
I want to leave little messages inside 12 balloons and have her pop them and read the messages. However, she does not like balloons popping from the experience I have had with her. I think it would be cool.

I am a balloon -popping pro – so I prefer a bang anyday …!! A good hard butt-slam straight on the balloon does it for me … but u need to coax her gently if she`s scared … whereas I would hope my boyfriend would leave me 500 messages in balloons .. then we could spend the whole night banging away ….
