About Us

BiblicalTurkey.org illuminates early Christian history in Turkey through resources, research, and training. The content is designed for anyone interested in the ancient history of ancient Asia Minor: researchers, tourists, pilgrims, tour guides, etc.

The website is hosted by Jason Borges (Ph.D., Durham University). He works as the Assistant Director of the Asia Minor Research Center in Antalya, Turkey (ancient Attalia). His current role includes conducting biblical research, publishing resources, leading study tours, and hosting training seminars. His research focuses on the social history and dynamics of early Christian communities, such as: travel, hospitality, honor-shame, patronage, civic spaces, and road networks.
