Research Fellowship

The Asia Minor Research Center (Antalya, Turkey) sponsors an annual research fellowship of $6,000 for a biblical scholar to visit and research in Turkey. This annual fellowship grant is for postdoctoral and early career scholars who have already obtained their doctorate. (Note: Tutku tours offers a similar research grant for doctoral students: www.tutkutours.com/doctoralfellowship.)

The fellowship is designed to facilitate biblical research and learning through a personal trip to ancient sites in Turkey. Fellows should plan to live in Antalya. Research topics should be focused within the field of biblical studies, particularly the social, material, and/or geographical context of the New Testament/Early Christian Origins. There are no assigned dates for the fellowship; in communication with AMRC staff, fellows can select their own dates.

Grants for 2022 have been awarded. The deadline for 2023 grants is Feb 1, 2023. Get more information here.
